仁王門茅葺屋根葺き替えのご案内

仁王門茅葺屋根の葺き替えを8月下旬から12月末にかけて行う運びとなりました。
作業に伴い、仁王門周囲の足場設置や茅の搬入が行われる予定です。
皆様にはご不便をおかけしますが、ご理解ご協力のほどよろしくお願い致します。

前回の葺き替えから15年が経ち北側面の老朽化が激しく、この度の葺き替えとなりましたが、昨今の異常気象に加え資材や人件費の高騰など多くの問題があり、茅葺屋根を維持していくことが年々難しくなってきております。
出来る限りは維持して参りたいと思っておりますので、引き継ぎ皆様のご協賛を賜りますよう、よろしくお願い申し上げます。

Help Us Preserve Our Historic Thatched Roof

We are planning to restore the thatched roof of our Niomon (main gate) this autumn. Traditionally, thatched roofs lasted 20 years, but due to climate change and severe weather, they now need restoration every 10-15 years. In addition, rising costs of materials and skilled craftsmen have made preservation increasingly challenging.
We therefore respectfully ask for your support in maintaining this historic structure. Donations of any amount help protect our cultural treasure for future generations.
